There are only a handful of stylists today that can boast having most of the same clientele for 40 years. Starting with the first following of clientele and expanding with their families and friends for generations, Susie has done hair for their first haircuts, school pictures, proms, graduations, and weddings before beginning the process again with their children.

In the ever-changing salon industry, Susie has witnessed vast changes not only in hairstyles, but also education and salon standards. The knowledge created for the beauty industry through large corporations research for richer, long lasting color, softer perms, and advanced styling products that allow the stylist to create a result that is worth the money and time for her customers. The trade is constantly changing and a top stylist needs to stay in touch with the latest innovations, products, and techniques.

Susie has successfully been able to blend her accumulated knowledge of people skills, styling techniques, and business management to open Studio West, her third salon, along with her partner Caryn.

The new salon has allowed her to surround herself with new talent and she is happy to have held onto most of the same talented stylists who have been with her for years. Working side by side with shared professional experiences and a common passion for hair, they are joined by clients of all ages who have become part of the salon family. Susie is proud to have created a friendly and professional salon atmosphere where all are welcome.

Her favorite part of her job is making women look and feel younger through the perfect style. Making clients feel pampered and welcome is the best formula an owner can mix.
